Hell's Gate Duathalon tomorrow in Lewiston. Wish my legs luck. Much to everyone's dismay, I may have to trade in my full spandex costume for something a bit warmer, as the the temperature at the race start is forecasted to be 38F.

So how did it go? Did you teach them how to ride a bike? Brian
43rd out of 120ish. I was happy, I've ran twice and been on my bike not much more all semester. I also blew a spoke on the bike, which was kinda scary. I think my time was about 4 minutes slower than the last time I did the race.
hmm...Nice! Sounds like fun. How are those energy gels? I think I'd probably gag on them. Something about gel food that gets me. But they seem like a good thing to pack for backpacking.

Energy gels are a necessary evil in the world of road biking. You love them, but you hate them.
